I’m sure by now; all of you know that AdSense is one of the options available to you if you’d like to start generating revenue from your web site. People purchase via AdWords which are then distributed via AdSense across millions of publishers web pages. So, what is all the fuss about AdSense for feeds?
The truth is that AdSense for feeds works in the same way that the other Google AdSense features work. You can earn money by posting targeted Google ads directly into your sites feeds. AdSense for feeds pays in the same way as any other Google ad which makes it another opportunity for you to make some money.
Another similar feature, like other Google AdSense features, is that you can rearrange the color, frequency, and control of the ad that you want placed in your feed. The only difference is that the ad is automatically sized based on where your feed is published and you therefore have limited control over this.
A unique feature that comes with AdSense for feeds is that you don’t have to create your ad and post the code to the feed yourself. All you have to do is give Google your feeds address and they will automatically put the code in for you as well as serve it via their network.
Before you can start integrating ads in your feeds, you will need to export all of your active feeds to your Google Adsense account. To make an account just go to the Google Adsense homepage and register, it may take 24 hours to activate your account, but it is worth the wait. If you were using feed websites such as FeedBurner, you can arrange to have your feeds placed into your Google AdSense account (the process is usually done within minutes).
After you have registered you can go to the AdSense Setup Tab to find the AdSense for feeds feature. As mentioned earlier, your feed will be fit to shape according to the size of your feed. Google will also name your feed ad automatically. If you are new to using feeds you will need to use the burn a new feed feature.
You have the option to change the type, position, frequency, and color of your ad, the best thing to do would be to match it up with your current site colours.
If you are a daily feed creator, you shouldn’t pass up this new opportunity to place ads in your feeds; it is very easy to setup and could increase your online income.
